I am a skilled and creative sound designer with an in-depth understanding of the sonic complexity and acuity necessary for commercial media. A recent Master of Arts in Sound design and Batchelor of Arts in Creative Music Technology graduate as well as a multi-instrumentalist and film, game and animation enthusiast. I work from my home studio where I have access to a large array of audio production software as well as microphones, synthesizers and a stereo monitoring system. I am a flexible and diligent worker with a true passion for my craft and the drive to always want to learn more.

I am Bristol based and work with audio under a wide-range of guises including:
-    Audio Post-Production
-    Sound design, editing and mixing
-    Audio design and implementation for games
-    Audio restoration, editing and mixing
-    Studio, Foley and field recording
-    Solo electronic music production
-    Film scoring

I have experience working on multiple professional short films ranging from narrative film to documentaries in all capacities of audio-post production.

 

I take pride in trying to adopt an experimental and creative approach to sound design trying to identify a sonic signature. I have spent a large portion of my time in researching and devising my own theoretical concepts and practical methods in means to blur the distinction between sound design and music. This is an approach i aim to regularly integrate into my workflow, encouraging the creation of truly homogenous sound experiences (for more information see 'Blurred Lines in Film Sound' under the documents tab).

 

Skills
A strong knowledge and high skill level using a large selection of digital audio workstations such as: Pro Tools, Logic Pro and Ableton. 

Strong knowledge and substantial experience using audio restoration software such as iZotope RX.

Experience mixing in 5.1 Surround and taking on all audio-post production roles within short films; dialogue editor, sound editor, sound design, foley artist and dubbing mixer

A strong knowledge of Wwise audio middleware and audio integration within Unreal

Compelling and creative audio solutions to both interactive and linear narrative media with a versatility to create your desired sonic palette and aesthetic

Keen interest and strong knowledge of advanced audio processing techniques and software.
